The World Cup showdown in Planica got off to a promising start for Austria’s ski jumpers. The top three positions all went to the Slovenian team around Anze Lanisek (1st/239 m), Timi Zajc (2nd), who achieved the longest distance with 241.5 meters, and Domen Prevc (3rd/230 m ). Clemens Aigner and Clemens Leitner fell by the wayside in the elimination.

“We feel ready for a great competition, the boys will get the most out of themselves again,” said ÖSV head coach Andreas Widholzl.
