The 26-year-old from Vorarlberg was on the ice in all 58 competition games of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz in the 2022/23 season.
He contributed eleven scorer points (one goal) and summed up with +13 in second place in the team’s internal plus-minus statistics.
“Linz has become incredibly dear to me. I will never forget that after a difficult time we were able to fill the hall again and celebrate great ice hockey experiences together. That was incredible,” Schnetzer is quoted as saying in a club broadcast. “Nevertheless, I now have the chance and I want to try where I can still get.”
“Obviously it’s a shame for us that Ramón is leaving us. He made a big step forward last season and performed very well over long stretches,” said coach Philipp Lukas.
