In 2016, in his rookie season in MotoGP, Jack Miller experienced a scare at Le Mans. He almost got killed by his Honda after a crash in the Dunlop chicane. Now the Australian is returning on Sunday (live from 11 a.m., ServusTV) at the 1000th Grand Prix of the Motorcycle World Championship with the KTM as one of the top contenders for victory in the premier class.
“Le Mans is one of my favorite circuits, even if it almost killed me once”Miller says.
postscript: “We are now really capable of winning with our RC16.” Most recently in Jerez he was third, teammate Brad Binder was second. “I think our package is fantastic at the moment. We now have a bike that we can seriously attack with”says the 28-year-old.
While the KTM was already doing well in practice yesterday, returnee Marc Marquez crashed once more on his Honda. But it all went smoothly.
