33rd matchday: Bayern open Dortmund’s championship door: 1: 3 shock against RB

Thomas Tuchel fled into the catacombs after Bayern’s serious blunder in the penultimate championship test and left his shocked players alone on the pitch. FC Bayern Munich opened the championship door wide for Borussia Dortmund with a 1: 3 (1: 0) against the DFB Cup finalist RB Leipzig.

The first untitled season since 2012 is imminent

The team of unsuccessful coach Tuchel only worked and harmonized in the first 30 minutes. It later staggered into defeat. The Bundesliga may be experiencing a turning point. For a long time, Tuchel and his disenchanted stars had a hand on the championship trophy. In front of 75,000 spectators in the sold-out Allianz Arena, national player Serge Gnabry made it 1-0 in the 25th minute.

Bayern had the game under control – until Leipzig stepped up and coldly hit back when they had chances. The presumed Bayern signing Konrad Laimer scored the equalizer (65′) after a Munich corner was blocked.

Gnabry scores 2700th Bayern home goal in the league

The Bayern game only went according to plan for an hour. 27-year-old Gnabry scored Bayern’s 2,700th home goal in the Bundesliga. It was Gnabry’s fifth goal in the past four games. And the goal was wonderfully combined from back to front in the attacking move via the strong Joao Cancelo and captain Thomas Müller. Gnabry finished with a powerful shot at the inside post. “We have to do our things,” said Tuchel before the kick-off on Sky about the tight title race with BVB.
