With 2,907 goals, the 41-year-old overtook the previous record holder Kyung-Shin Yoon from South Korea, who had previously held the record with 2,905 goals. With the success in front of 8518 spectators in the local Max-Schmeling-Halle, the Foxes Berlin have kept their theoretical chance of reaching the Champions League.
It was obvious from the start that the hosts were trying to make amends after the surprising bankruptcy at Bergisches HC. Especially since the first leg in Minden was lost unnecessarily.
