BVB is apparently targeting Benfica’s Darwin Nunez as Haaland’s successor

BVB is apparently still preparing for a possible Haaland exit. Benfica’s Nunez is said to be a candidate.

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has apparently chosen as a possible. That reports Record. The Portuguese daily also published a photo showing BVB chief scout Markus Pilawa together with Nunez advisor Edgardo Lasalvia.

Nunez, who is under contract with the Portuguese until 2025 and is said to have a release clause of 150 million euros, scored eleven goals in 16 matches across all competitions this season, including two in the Champions League in the first duel against FC Barcelona and a goal against Bayern Munich.

BVB: Atletico and Milan are probably on Benfica’s Nunez too

In the race for the Uruguayan international (six international matches, two goals), BVB is facing considerable competition, as AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested.

Nunez, who comes from the youth of the Uruguayan club Penarol, moved to Benfica in the summer of 2020 for 24 million euros after an engagement at UD Almeria in Spain.
