Russian boxer, WBA Asia South champion Edgar Ghukasyan intends to outplay Argentine professional fighter Ricardo Villalba in the ring during a rematch, the athlete admitted in an interview with REN TV on December 3.
“I already know how to fight. We must try to outplay with our heads, to be smarter and more cunning than the enemy, to interrupt him with moral will. If I box, I will replay him. When they didn’t give me the belt, it motivated me and made me angry. It was my mistake, he pissed me off, and I followed his lead. He played well at that moment, ”Ghukasyan said.
He added that in July he gave the Argentine a chance, and he took it. In the future, the Russian boxer vowed not to give his opponents such opportunities to defeat himself. Ghukasyan assured that no conflict with Villalba at the weigh-in could occur, since he is an athlete who proves everything by actions in the ring.
On July 23, Villalba won a technical victory over Gukasyan at the Dynamo volleyball arena in Moscow. The fight ended due to the disqualification of Ghukasyan, which was caused by a prohibited header, after which Viyalba could not continue the fight.
The fight-revenge between the Russian and the Argentine will take place within the framework of the professional boxing evening, which will take place in Samara on December 17 at the sports and concert complex “Sports Palace”.
