Dóvalo, advised and accompanied by the Argentine Association of Referees (AAA), filed a criminal and civil complaint for threats against the technician.
“We already knew that we were playing against 14. We are still hot. This guy has to finish it because he shits on the work of the boys and the club. I’m not talking about the referees, but this makes it very difficult and very noticeable, which is the most worrying. He already has a history with Barracas, and he comes and steals from you anyway, it’s crazy.”said Tevez after the controversial arbitration.
The referee has the support of the director of referees, Federico Beligoywho described his work in that match as “good.”
In addition, the Argentine Association of referees issued a statement in which it confirmed that legal actions would be initiated against the technical director of “Rojo”: “The Association strongly repudiates the statements made by Mr. Carlos Alberto Tevez, within the framework of the deputy meeting between the Club Atlético Barracas Central and the Club Atlético Independiente”.
“In reference to the actions of our affiliate Pablo Germán Dóvalo, he expressed serious terms that slander, insult and incite violence, less damaging the good man and honor of Mr. Dóvalo”it was added.
After this event, Tevez in a press conference relativized the issue: “Let Dóvalo do what he wants, what does it matter to me. We’ll fix it wherever he wants”.
