FC Krasnodar terminated the contract with coach Goncharenko

Football club “Krasnodar” broke the contract with the head coach of the team Viktor Goncharenko. This was announced on January 5 by the club’s press service.

“The management of FC Krasnodar has decided to dismiss the head coach Viktor Goncharenko and two of his assistants – Vasily Berezutsky and Alexander Ermakovich,” reads a message from Krasnodar posted on Facebook.

The reasons for this decision were not specified. It is also unknown who will take over as head coach of the team.

Goncharenko’s contract with Krasnodar was in effect until the summer of 2023. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2021, the Belarusian specialist headed FC CSKA, complements the Sport-Express website.

A day earlier, Valery Bragin left the post of head coach of the SKA hockey club. His place was taken by Roman Rotenberg. Bragin himself will remain on the team as head coach.

Bragin said that for the last month it was Rotenberg who served as the head coach, which brought results. According to him, now the headquarters is faced with the task of bringing the athletes who claim to be included in the Olympic team to the peak of their form, as well as taking the team to the playoffs.
