DFB praises EM record bonus for footballers
The European Championship 2025 in Switzerland could be really worthwhile for the DFB team. In the event of a title, there are premiums that still seemed unthinkable in the past.
The German footballers would collect a record bonus in the case of an EM title in summer. In a final triumph in Switzerland, each player receives 120,000 euros, as the German Football Association (DFB) announced. For the tournament three years earlier in England, when the team only missed the coup in the final, only half of the sum that has now been agreed had been negotiated.
From the quarter -finals, the players receive “performance -related premiums”, as the team council and association agreed. Each player would get up to 45,000 euros to move into the round of the best eight teams. There would be 65,000 euros for the semi -finals and 90,000 euros for the final participation. The final will take place on July 27 in the St. Jakob Park in Basel.
Neuendorf: needs “more performance incentives in women’s football”
According to the announcement, DFB President Bernd Neuendorf said according to the announcement. “The victory premium doubled compared to the past European Championship is therefore an important sign.”
Captain Giulia Gwinn said: “For us as a national team, the sporting success is the top priority. That is why it quickly became clear to us that we agree on a performance -related premium regulation.” Together with the association, “a good solution was found”.
The German team starts the European Championship preliminary round in St. Gallen on July 4 in St. Gallen, and continues on July 8 in Basel against Denmark. The third group game of the eleven of national coach Christian Wück will take place on July 12th in Zurich against Sweden.
