Man United and Tottenham attract in Europe League final
In the Premier League, Manchester United is only table 15, in which Europa League is a power. The Red Devils are again in the final, where the Eintracht Frankfurt conqueror is waiting.
In the final of the Europa League there is a purely English duel between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao. In the round of the last four teams, United won 4: 1 (0: 1) against Athletic Bilbao after the English had already won the first leg 3-0. Frankfurt’s quarter-final cone Tottenham also won the second leg at the Norwegian football club FK Bodo/Glimt 2-0 (0-0) after the 3-1 in the first leg.
Bilbao was initially able to hope for a miracle. Mikel Jaureguizar (31st minute) circled the ball soulingly into the gateway to the guest tour, which lasted for a long time. Only after the break did the team of Coach Ruben Amorim score the game thanks to the goals of Mason Mount (72./90.+1), Casemiro (80th) and striker Rasmus Höjlund (85.). After 2021 (10:11 i. E. against Villarreal) and 2017 (2-0 against Ajax Amsterdam), Manchester United is in the final of the Europa League for the third time.
The Spurs won the UEFA Cup in 1972 and 1984 and can now triumph for the first time in the successor competition Europa League. For a little over an hour of play, Dominic Solanke (63.) and Pedro Porro (69.) made it clear for Tottenham.
Chelsea in the final of the Conference League
In the Conference League, another English club moved into a European Cup final with the Chelsea FC. After the clear 4: 1 in the first leg at the Stockholm Club Djurgard, the Londoners also won the second leg on the domestic Stamford Bridge 1-0 (1-0) thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (38.). The final will take place on May 28th in Wroclaw.
