Process for the death of football -like Maradona burst

The trial of the death of the Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona has burst: the procedure must be resumed with a new judge’s team, the court decided on Thursday in San Isidro in Argentina. The background is the scandal for one of the previously involved judges who had occurred in a documentary series about the process without permission.
Judge Maximiliano Savarino declared the previous process for “void”. On the grounds, he stated that the judge’s behavior had led to “the indictment like the defense could have occurred damage”. The process must therefore be resumed “with another dish”. He did not call a period of time.
The judge was declared biased in the process of the death of Maradona
Judge Julieta Makintach resigned on Tuesday after she had been declared biased. Previously confiscated video recordings showed that the 47-year-old was actively involved in the work on a documentary series on the process with her as the main character.
A trailer for the “Divine Justice” mini series had been played in the courtroom on Tuesday. It was seen in Makintach as she rushes through the corridors of the court building on high heels, while a narrator’s voice describes dark details of Maradona’s death. Makintach behaved “like an actress and not like a judge,” said prosecutor Patricio Ferrari to the lawyer.
Maradona died of heart failure and pulmonary edema on November 25, 2020 at the age of 60, after having been maintained after a brain surgery in a specially rented apartment in a chic area north of Buenos Aires.
The public prosecutor accuses its doctors and nurses to have a poor carer Maradona and thus accept his death. In the event of a conviction, the seven defendants between eight and 25 years in prison. All accused reject any responsibility for Maradona’s death.
After more than two months, the legal proceedings must now be re -rolled up with three new judges to be determined. The trial had started on March 20, and the court had already heard over 40 witnesses.
