In Russia, more than 42 million OSAGO agreements were concluded in 2021, which is 3% more than in 2020. This was reported by the analytical agency “AUTOSTAT” with reference to Mikhail Porvatov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers.
Thus, the average price of an OSAGO policy increased and amounted to 5,590 rubles (+2%). At the same time, the average payment, on the contrary, showed a negative trend (-1%) and amounted to 72,670 rubles.
It is noted that according to the results of 9 months of 2021, the Altai Republic became the leader in the frequency of insured events (the number of losses divided by the number of contracts) – only 3.3%. And Primorsky Krai turned out to be an outsider in this indicator. There, the frequency of insured events for 9 months of last year is estimated at 7%.
On December 22, it was reported that the Ministry of Finance plans to make changes to the system of compulsory third party liability insurance (OSAGO).
It is assumed that payments for damage to life and health under OSAGO will increase from 500 thousand to 2 million rubles. Thus, it is planned to equalize the amount of maximum coverage for auto insurance with other types of similar policies, such as carrier liability.
