Stromers are also favorable: these e-cars are available for less than 15,000 euros

In addition to the range, electric cars have a second major problem: the high prices. But at least on the used car market there are already inexpensive models.

Electromobility has long since reached the masses. Even if the sales shares are still significantly behind the previous expectations, more and more models with electric drive are driving on the streets. However, more new cars also mean: More offers on the used market, because many customers are already on the road with their second or third electric car, which is noticeable at the dealers. Nobody has to be afraid of a used electric car and in particular a noticeably declining battery capacity, because the batteries are much better than once assumed.

E-cars: good, cheap, used

The big advantage of the used electric cars is the price, because the losses of value of the vehicles with plugs are considerable and are often above that comparable combustion models. We show you which electric cars up to 15,000 euros are exactly the right choice for starting electromobility.

Tesla Model 3:

A Tesla below 15,000 euros – that actually exists. Both the Model 3 and the larger model S. If you want to be so cheap, you have to cut back and prepare for lavish mileage. Used Tesla models 3 under 18,000 or even 15,000 euros are quite rare and, if they date from the years of 2019 and 2020, usually have significantly more than 250,000 kilometers on the speedometer. After all, most models are equipped with all -wheel drive and have a solid maintenance history. Renzlenker can be a problem, but otherwise the Model 3 does only a few problems – also because the software remains up to date. Only with the old models have to be made with the range. Important: Let yourself be presented with a current TÜV report and wait for the car.

Tesla Model S:

The situation is similar with the Tesla Model S, which has often run for a price of around 15,000 euros significantly more than 200,000 kilometers. The vehicles – mostly Tesla Model S 75/85 – are already older (from 2013), and that is precisely the interior. However, travel comfort is higher than in the smaller Tesla 3. The early models sometimes had processing defects, of which not everyone may have been remedied. With a little research, a solid Tesla S can be obtained below 15,000 euros.

The Fiat 500 E

Fiat 500e:

The Fiat 500E is already available for hardly more than 10,000 euros, formerly the best -selling electric car in Germany. Design and workmanship are top and the 87 kW / 118 hp electric motor on the front axle is enough for more than just city trips. The offer in the vehicle exchanges is larger than ever, and so everyone finds between 10,000 and 15,000 euros. Cheap models usually run up to 100,000 kilometers. Attention: If you have a few kilometers on the speedometer and are particularly cheap, you often only offer the small battery pack. But it shouldn’t be less than the 42 kWh so that they can do 200 kilometers and more in winter. The loading speed is rather slow at 80 kW.

The VW Golf E

VW Golf E:

Of course, Volkswagen also offers the electrical up, but the significantly better vehicle is the VW Golf E, which was offered from 2017 to 2020. A normal VW Golf of the seventh and probably the best generation. After the model maintenance, it has a solid electric motor on the front axle with a sufficient 100 kW / 136 hp. The stronger engine is less important than the larger battery pack of almost 36 kWh, because the 24 kWh of the 115-hp start version was not even enough for 150 kilometers. With the larger battery package, there are at least 200 kilometers in it. As with many other electric used models, the Golf E weakens when reloading. More than 40 kW are not possible.

The Skoda Citigo e IV

Skoda Citigo e IV:

In itself, the Skoda Citigo E stands for an electric triumvirate, because the VW e-up and the Seat Mii e are almost identical apart from the brand logo. However, the Skoda Citigo – also available from 11,000 euros – is still an electric car for the city center more than the Fiat 500E, because the small Czech has little to look for on the highway. This is not only due to the manageable 61 kW / 83 hp or 130 km / h tip, but also due to the almost 37 kWh battery package in the underbody, with which there are at best 260 kilometers in ideal conditions. The loading speed on the fast loader: 40 kW and therefore not for long distances.

The Renault Zoe

Renault Zoe:

Renault was a real electropioneer with his little Zoe 2012. Cheap models from 2019/2020 can already be obtained below 10,000 euros. Admittedly, the Zoe with its 51 kW / 69 hp is hardly anything for long journeys. And you should think carefully about whether you bring a very early model home, because sensible ranges can only offer the variants with 41 and 52 kWh large battery package, which then have drives with 80 kW / 109 hp or 100 kW / 135 hp. Here are 300 or more kilometers until the next charging stop. The early models also have no fast loader. Be careful: Many models have an integrated “battery rental” that also gets money.
