The “beautiful star” event has developed into a big Mercedes fan meeting within 15 years. For spectators, this means above all: real rarities in the wild.
The “beautiful stars” Mercedes Festival took place for the 15th time at the weekend. The field of participants in Hattingen, in the southern Ruhr area, was just as colorful as the vehicles themselves and the audience came not only from all over Germany, but from almost all European countries.
“The longest journey was from Finland this year, from where a lot of participants came,” said organizer Luca Felshart. “We are more than satisfied with the event. The atmosphere was rarely as good as this year and without being counted exactly, there were more than 2,000 vehicles here.”
A Mercedes from 1933 was also there
The oldest vehicle next to Hochofen, Rollwerk and Schmiede: a Mercedes 290 S from 1933, while on the grounds of the historic Henrichshütte in Hattingen, countless models from 190s in accounting equipment to the unique piece of the Mercedes 500 SL 6.0 AMG presented itself to the R107 series.
The large S-Class series W140, W126 or the corresponding luxury coupés C140, C107 and C126 are particularly popular.
