In Moscow, since the beginning of 2022, 16 traffic accidents have been registered related to collisions with cyclists, in which 16 people received various injuries. This was announced on February 24 by the official Telegram channel of the Moscow State traffic inspectorate.
In addition, according to the traffic police, since the beginning of the year, traffic inspectors have prevented 1256 traffic violations by cyclists, 3 of which were in a state of intoxication.
It is noted that in all cases, delivery workers were involved in road accidents.
“We appeal to the administrations of courier services – explain to employees the need for competent participation in traffic, paying special attention to the obligatory dismounting before crossing the carriageway, as well as compliance with the requirements of road signs and traffic lights,” the Moscow State traffic inspectorate said.
On February 17, Alexander Shumsky, head of the Probok.net expert center, reminded drivers of the need to pay fines for traffic violations in a timely manner.
As the expert noted, 10 days are given to appeal the fine, another 60 days to pay, if not paid, the information is sent to the bailiff. A fee is imposed there – 7% of the amount of the fine (minimum 1000 rubles).
