From February 28 to March 5, 2022, an idle mode will be introduced at the Renault Russia plant, which produces Renault and Nissan cars. Reason: some interruptions in the supply of components. This was reported on February 25 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
A source at the company told the publication that the interruptions are primarily due to the strengthening of border regimes in transit countries and the forced need to change a number of established logistics routes.
It is noted that the company is currently looking for solutions to resume car production. Crossovers Renault Duster, Renault Arkana, Renault Kaptur and Nissan Terrano are produced in Moscow.
On December 21, it was reported that Renault introduced a new version of the Logan sedan for the Russian market, which can run on both gasoline and liquefied natural gas (methane).
