The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Sports This Thursday approved a resolution that updates the regulations for the Automotive vehicle emission control In Argentina. The measure, published in the Official Gazette, establishes new procedures for obtaining the license for Environmental Configuration (LCA), incorporates international standards and sets tariffs for the processing of certificates of gas emissions, sound, electromagnetic and energy efficiency.

According to Resolution 546/2025, Test protocols issued by laboratories accredited in the country and abroad will be acceptedincluding organisms from Brazil, Japan, Chile, United States and the United Nations. In addition, a public database was created with the information of the licenses granted and the records for light vehicles, heavy and engines were reorganized.


The norm also repealed previous resolutions that had been disused and set a process of processing 940 remuneration units for each certification and 212 for each extension.
