The Ministry of Industry and Commerce enabled a quota of 50,000 units by 2026 with a reduction in the right of extrazone importation, and also summoned companies interested in reallocating remnants of the year 2025.
The Ministry of Economy, through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, formalized the Resolution 377/2025which summons companies interested in requesting Import quotas of motor vehicles For the 2026 period with a 0% aliquot in the right of extrazone import (die)as established in Decree 49/2025.

The measure, published Monday in the Official Gazette, sets a 50,000 units limit which can be imported under this special regime until the January 31, 2027. The quota will be divided equally: 25,000 vehicles for automotive terminals based in the country and 25,000 for companies that do not produce locallyalthough the possibility of reallocating units between both categories in case of remnants is expected.


The selection procedure will prioritize the lowest sale price in dollars and the nearest nationalization datewith the aim of guaranteeing an equitable and transparent distribution. Applications must be made through the platform Distance Procedures (TAD) before October 16, 2025completing the forms and statements required by Resolution 29/2025.
Likewise, the Secretariat ordered a Additional subconvocatory for 2025 destined to reallocate the quotas not used during the current year. This redistribution will be made according to the same priority criteria and must be completed before January 31, 2026deadline for the entry of the units.
The resolution also updates the conditions of entry and extension of the imports benefited by the regime, allowing to extend deadlines in duly justified cases – as logistics or production delays -, provided that the selection criteria applied in each call is not modified.
The text, signed by the Secretary of Production Coordination, Pablo Agustín Lavignein the exercise of the powers of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, it establishes that companies must comply with all current regulations in the matter of vehicular security and consumer defensein accordance with laws 24,240 and 24,449.
