The Government announced a new call to import up to 50,000 electric and hybrid vehicles during 2026 without paying tariffsa measure that aims to continue promoting sustainable mobility in the country.

The initiative was made official through the Resolution 377/2025published this Monday, and interested companies will be able to register until October 16 inclusive.

As established by the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Economythose importers who meet a series of requirements will be able to access the quota, among them, that the vehicles have a Maximum FOB value of $16,000.

The program began to be implemented this year, with the objective of favor the entry of electrified models (both pure electric and hybrid) without paying the extra-zone tariff of 35%applicable to vehicles coming from countries outside Mercosur or Mexico.
