A recent report on the vehicle theft in the City of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs (AMBA) reveals that armed violence continues to be the main type of crime. According to data collected during September, 65.38% of the registered cases corresponded to armed robberies, of which 94.12% occurred on public roads, confirming a sustained trend month after month.

Private vehicles were the most affected, representing 81.82% of thefts, a figure that shows an increase of 51% compared to the previous month. Utility vehicles accounted for 7.79% of the incidents, while 4×4 Pick Ups and motorcycles accounted for 5.19% each.

The geographical analysis indicates that the West was the most affected area, with 44.87% of the robberies, followed by the South (34.62%) and Capital Federal (10.26%). The North continued to be the region with the lowest incidence (7.69%). Regarding schedules, the period from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. concentrated 51.28% of the cases, standing out as the period of greatest risk.
Regarding the dynamics of the events, more than half involved two criminals (55.81%)while robberies committed by four or five people represented 11.63% each. The days with the highest criminal activity were Thursday (17.95%), Sunday and Monday (15.38%).
