“If people can’t access a 0 kilometer, they resort to the newest used one they can. This goes up in price to where people are willing to pay it,” said Principe, while noting that “what puts the roof on it the used one is the same new product”.

The director remarked that “things like these happen in a distorted market.” In that sense, he indicated that “in general, the public that is going to buy their 0 kilometer goes with a used one that is five years old at most” and specified that currently “that segment is missing because there are no new cars.

“As is missing, when something enters the market there are ten people who want to buy it,” said Príncipe. The businessman added that “on the subject of cars, the world has never been more complex than it is right now.”
