Installment purchase router 1 & 1
Hello. My router gave up the ghost after six years. After I called 1 & 1, they kindly offered me a new tariff (monthly € 29.99) with a new router (monthly € 4.99). Duration 2 years as usual. The router is then paid off after 2 years and mine. BUT: I was advised that I have to take action myself before these two years have expired, call 1 & 1 and stop the installment payment for the router, otherwise it will simply continue, although it will definitely be paid off after two years. So everything in me screams “that mustn’t be true”, “rip off”, “wrong”, “wrong”, “incredibly brazen” At first I thought I misunderstood something, so I asked for advice the next day and exactly asked and discussed, without success. With 1 & 1 it is just like that. Am I on the wrong track with my negative feelings? Is that right? Is that common practice? Thank you for your opinions or experiences.
