Among those with the highest demand were the Renault Clio, with 20,321 vehicles sold; the Ford Fiesta, 18,070; the Fiat Palio, 17,346 units; and the Ford Ranger, with 15,685 units.
For its part, within the vehicles of lesser age, with a maximum of up to 10 years, among the most valued for sale were the Peugeot 208, the Volkswagen Gol Trend, the Focus III, the Fiesta Kinetic Design and the Ecosport – the latter from Ford-, based on a survey by the online sales firm Kavak.
The commercial manager of the online sales company, Mariano Sagatta, told Télam that Beyond the country’s macroeconomic fluctuations, the used car market has remained relatively stable in recent years, with the exception of 2020 due to restrictions related to the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
“We expect 2022 to close in line with previous years. In this time of economic uncertainty, many people tend to look at used vehicles as an alternative store of value,” Segatta said.
By provinces, the district in which the highest percentage growth in used car sales was observed during the first half of 2022 was Formosa, with a year-on-year increase of 49.61%, followed by Santa Cruz (10.14%); Catamarca (8.66%) and Corrientes (6.61%).
