Electromobility debuts in the country

The mechanics combine a 184 hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed Steptronic transmission with a power of 109 hp. Together, they generate 292 hp. The maximum torque is 420 Nm. This allows the new BMW X3 xDrive30e to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. Its maximum speed is 210 km/h.

This version has an average consumption of 3.2 liters per 100km, while in the gasoline version it amounts to 7.9 liters. Its high-voltage lithium-ion battery equipped with the latest battery cell technology enables purely electric mobility with a range of 42 to 50 kilometers depending on the driving mode, with a top speed of 135 km/h.

The Battery Control setting is also used to maintain the state of charge of the high-voltage battery at a level determined by the driver. In this way, the power supply can be reserved and used for local emission-free driving on urban sections. It also has different driving modes, from 100% electric, to an ecological mode and another Sport with Extra Boost.

The model that arrived in the country has a sportier design. It has changes in the front, with an aggressive spoiler, bumper redesign, LED headlights and dual exhaust outlets. It also has a logo with a blue outline to distinguish the electrified line. The BMW kidney grille is larger than before and now consists of a one-piece frame.

Likewise, it adopts the center console of the current BMW 4 Series. The independent control screen with touch function offers a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches with Head Up Display. It comes with electric sports seats, automatic climate control with 3-zone control, the electric parking brake, hill descent control and various driving experience functions, as well as the BMW driver.

The SUV includes the Driving Assistant as standard, which consists of a series of systems: lane departure warning, vehicle detection in the blind spot, parking assistant, cross traffic assistant, automatic brake, among others.

The price of the hybrid version is $150,900, while the gasoline variant costs $125,900.
