In the cabin, changes to the seat trim and console add refinement. The on-board computer brings new graphics, and the New MyLink multimedia center with new functions.

Connectivity now offers remote updates of electronic systems (OTA), new generation myChevrolet App, MyLink with wireless projection for Android Auto and Apple Car Play, native Wi-Fi, Spotify, in addition to the well-known OnStar system, which provides permanent personalized assistance for emergency services and security.

Two versions are offered: Premier with all-wheel drive AWD and the unprecedented RS. Both include items such as Forward Collision Alert and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Alert with Sudden Approach Sensor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Driver Seat Safety Vibration Alert and forgetting people or objects in the rear seat.

As for the dimensions, it is 4,652 mm long, 2,725 mm between axles, 2,105 mm wide and 1,843 mm high. The trunk has a capacity of 468 liters which can be extended to 1,627 liters with the seats folded down.

Equinox is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine with direct gasoline injection and an automatic transmission with the option of manual gear change. It has a maximum power of 172 hp/5600 rpm and a maximum torque of 275 Nm/2500-4500 rpm. Chevrolet’s premium SUV also stands out for its performance. In the case of the RS version, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds.

Its aerodynamic design maximizes the performance of the vehicle, which is equipped with the active radiator grille system. Its function is to reduce drag through the electronic control of the opening and closing of the flaps according to the need for cooling the engine and the cabin ventilation system.

The model also uses independent rear-wheel suspension, subframe structures and a host of advanced traction and stability control technologies.

As for the traction, the system in the Equinox Premier is permanent type AWD, and can vary the delivery of torque to each wheel for a greater grip of the vehicle. The driver can deactivate the AWD mode even with the vehicle in motion and drive only with front wheel drive. And, if the system identifies a risk situation, a message appears on the dashboard advising all-wheel drive.

The suggested retail price is $10,800,900 for the Equinox Premier and $9,936,900 for the Equinox RS.
