The growth in car sales was due to three factors. The first is the dollar drop, which in the year totaled 10.35%. As for cars, the total sold was 25,090unlike in 2021, when 23,593 were sold, which meant an increase in the 6.35%. Among the best-selling brands are Chevrolet with 5,939 cars, Suzuki with 5,050 and Hyundai with 4,838.
Regarding SUV trucks, in 2022 they were sold 11,930while in 2021 10,382 were sold, representing an increase in the 14.91%. The most sold brands were Volkswagen with 2,184, Chevrolet with 972 and Toyota with 946 vehicles sold.
As for utility trucks, the total sold was 15,043 Unlike 2021, which was 14,660, representing an increase in 2.61%. Among the best sellers were Fiat with 4,697, Renault with 2,421 and Volkswagen with 1,917.
The buses, for their part, represented the highest percentage of sales compared to 2021, being 54 vehicles sold compared to 11 in 2021, which represents a growth of 390%. This may be due to the renewal of the bus fleet, where mainly electric buses were purchased.
In contrast to the growth of these types of vehicles, trucks and minibuses. The first ones got a sales number 2,776representing a decrease of 4.3% compared to 2021, 2,093 were sold. As for minibuses, the sale in 2022 was 163 while in 2021 they were 188, which represented a drop of 13.3%.
