Car designers about the cockpit of “tomorrow”: office, heating surfaces and bonsai

Forvia presented a “tomorrow” cockpit at the CES in Las Vegas. The automotive supplier is thus significantly transforming the car of the future. Designer Andreas Wlasak talks to the star about the office function, energy-saving heating surfaces and real bonsai trees in the car.

Cars are constantly changing. There are fewer switches and buttons, and even displays need to be replaced. The global automotive supplier Forvia is developing innovative cockpits that are intended to turn the interior of passenger cars into a practical office and living room of the future – with flexible design options. These include, for example, rotating chairs with intelligent technology, heating surfaces designed to improve energy efficiency, and real bonsai trees. Andreas Wlasak, Vice President Industrial Design at Faurecia, a Forvia Group company, in an interview with stern about the “Third Place” cockpit.
