Audi introduced the new A3 Sportback and A3 Sedan in the country with more technology and two mechanical options.
“Audi started the premium compact segment with the A3 in 1996. The new generation of this successful model is already being marketed in Argentina. Sporty, digitized and fully connected. Beneath the progressive design of the new A3 Sportback and the new A3 Sedan are many segment innovations such as: infotainment systems and suspension, among others,” the brand said in a statement.
The new A3 models feature compact proportions and a sporty design. The large air inlets at the front accentuate its dynamic character. The area below is curved inward. This is a new design element from Audi that helps to highlight the fender area. The digital daytime running lights of the LED headlamps are another novel detail in the new A3.
Inside, it features a new gear selector, aluminum inlays, striking door handles and a black panel-look instrument panel. The seat upholstery is made from recycled PET bottles with contrasting stitching.

At 4.34 meters long and 1.82 meters wide (without mirrors), the A3 Sportback has grown by just over three centimeters compared to its predecessor. The height of 1.43 meters, without the roof antenna, and the wheelbase of 2.64 meters remained unchanged. Depending on the position of the rear seat, the trunk has a capacity of between 380 and 1,200 liters.
The new Audi A3 Sedan is just over 15 centimeters longer than the A3 Sportback. All other dimensions are identical.
With 425 liters, the trunk capacity is the same as in the previous model. The passenger compartment of the new A3 is equipped as standard with a 10.1-inch touch screen, while the instrument panel, which the driver controls via the multifunction steering wheel, is also digital as standard. The standard Audi virtual cockpit provides additional functions, such as the large navigation map display.

The MMI, the new modular infotainment platform, is of the third generation. Its computing power is ten times that of its predecessor.
It connects to the user’s smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, as well as via the optional Audi phone box. The latter connects the device to the car’s antenna and charges it by induction.
The Audi A3 in both Sportback and Sedan versions comes to Argentina with two engine options. The 150 hp 35 TFSI is equipped with an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox and reaches a top speed of 224 km/h in the Sportback version and 232 km/h in the Sedan version. The 190 hp 40 TFSI with a 7-speed Stronic gearbox can accelerate to 241 km/h in the Sportback version and 248 km/h in the Sedan version.
The suspension of the new A3 models is with a four-link rear axle for both versions and engines. In combination with the standard Audi drive select dynamic handling system for the 40TFSI, the suspension is optionally available with adaptive damping control, which simultaneously lowers the body by 10 millimeters.
