Rolls-Royce builds cars in different categories – all of them luxurious, but still drastically different. There are off-the-shelf vehicles. They are expensive, but you can imagine ordering them in much the same way as with other manufacturers: choose the model, equip it, pay and go.
At the other end of the possibilities are the so-called coachbuild one-offs, which you can only buy if Rolls-Royce extends an invitation. According to Rolls-Royce, this is the “most exclusive department” that rebuilds cars from scratch. In between is “the world of bespoke work”, called “Bespoke”.
Rolls Royce: La Dolce Phantom
A Rolls-Royce from this division makes it possible to design the manufacturer’s standard models according to your own ideas and thus make them unique. The latest litter in the series is a Phantom called “Inspired by Cinque Terre”. “Cinque Terre” are five coastal villages in Liguria, Italy. These sit colorfully on the rugged cliffs and are surrounded by wine-growing regions – Italy straight out of a picture book.
The “Cinque Terre” Rolls-Royce is supposed to compensate for this. It is blue like the sea and bears typical Italian symbols. There is a map of the country on the roof lining, grapes are embroidered on the doors and there is a painting typical of the area in the cockpit.
As always, Rolls-Royce doesn’t talk about the price, but for this vehicle it’s probably nowhere near the 30 million that was recently discussed for the “La Rose Noire Droptail” – the base price for a Phantom is around 480,000 euros , plus the elaborate extras.
