The Metropolitan State Traffic Inspectorate published a New Year’s memo for drivers on its official Telegram channel on December 8. It lists the sanctions for various traffic violations.

“New Year holidays are ahead. Admit it, you already hear the smell of pine needles and tangerines? And the smell of corporate events? And it is incompatible with driving a car, ”the message says.

The memo says that for drunk driving or refusal to undergo a medical examination, the violator will be fined – 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive from 1.5 to 2 years.

For driving in a state of intoxication, without having a driver’s license, an administrative arrest of 10 to 15 days and a fine of 30 thousand rubles are provided.

In the case of transferring the right to drive his car to a drunk person, a fine of 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of a driver’s license for a period of 1.5 to 2 years are provided.

In addition, the department emphasized that a criminal record is provided for driving a car drunk, being deprived of rights for drunk driving.

On October 12, the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate gave a definition to the term “aggressive driving”. So, according to the department, aggressive driving is the conscious behavior of the driver on the road in such a way as to increase the risk of an accident, cause physical or emotional harm to other road users.
