State traffic inspectorate on Wednesday, December 8, published a New Year’s memo to the driver, “which listed the punishment for driving while intoxicated.
“For drunk driving or refusal to undergo a medical examination, the violator will be fined 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive from one and a half to two years,” the department reminded on the page in Telergam.
A similar punishment is provided for a motorist for transferring the right to drive his car to a person who is intoxicated.
The inspectorate also said that for driving in a state of intoxication without driving license, an administrative arrest of 10 to 15 days and a fine of 30 thousand rubles are provided.
“If you drive a car drunk, being deprived for drunk driving, you can get a criminal record,” added the traffic police.
On October 12, the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate gave a definition to the term “aggressive driving”. So, according to the department, aggressive driving is the conscious behavior of the driver on the road in such a way as to increase the risk of an accident, cause physical or emotional harm to other road users.
