In Moscow, over 11 months of 2022, 7732 road traffic accidents (RTA) were registered. They killed 323 people and another 8,767 were injured. This was reported on December 9 by the Telegram channel of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate.
It is noted that this year the predominant types of road accidents are collisions and collisions with pedestrians. For example, the most common causes of death and harm to human health in an accident were non-observance of the distance, non-observance of the sequence of passage, inadequacy of speed to specific conditions, violation of the rules for passing pedestrian crossings, violation of the rules for rebuilding.
The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate noted that road safety depends primarily on the road users themselves and their correct actions.
On December 8, the traffic police published a New Year’s memo for drivers. It lists the sanctions for various traffic violations.
The memo says that a fine (30 thousand rubles) and deprivation of the right to drive from 1.5 to 2 years await the violator for driving while intoxicated or refusing to undergo a medical examination.
