The Ministry of Digital and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia discussed the progress of the experiment on the use of a digital copy of the vehicle registration certificate (STS) and recognized it as successful. This was reported on December 10 by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Science.
“The Ministry of Digital and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia discussed the course of the experiment and recognized it as generally successful,” the ministry told TASS.
In early September, it became known that the STS became available in the “Gosuslugi.Avto” application – it can be presented to the traffic police in the form of a QR code on a smartphone. Also, by the end of the year, the service will be available to appeal against fines for violation of traffic rules, in the future it will be possible to store a digital OSAGO policy there.
On March 22, Alexander Vasilyev, a member of the State Duma Committee on Transport and Construction, said that buying and selling cars through the portal of state services would eliminate mistakes when drawing up sales and purchase agreements. Thanks to the changes, users will be able to sign documents using an electronic signature and send documents for registration with the traffic police online.
