The fifth-generation Korean crossover Kia Sportage has received the Vehicle Type Approval Certificate (OTTS). This document gives the automaker the right to sell the model in Russia.
According to a press release received by Izvestia on December 13, the car will be offered on the Russian market with 2.0 l (150 hp) or 2.5 l (190 hp) gasoline engines, mechanical or automatic transmissions, single-axle drive or all-wheel drive systems.
The overall length of the vehicle is 4660 mm. Compared to the current generation, the wheelbase has increased by 85 mm and the length by 175 mm. The new Sportage has an overall width of 1,865 mm and a height (depending on specification) between 1,660 and 1,680 mm.
Sales of the new Kia Sportage crossover in Russia will begin in the first half of 2022.
