The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has patented the new name Lada Aura. The corresponding trademark under the number 841447 appeared in the Rospatent database.
As Daily-Motor reports on December 13, the appearance of the patent does not mean that the automaker intends to bring a car with that name to the market in the near future. The name can be assigned both to the new Lada model and to branded spare parts or toy cars.
Over the years, AvtoVAZ has registered several new names for its cars in the Rosstandart database. So, in 2012, applications were made for the names Fortuna, Ladoga, Svoboda, Slavia and Quanta, and in 2015 the names Binar, Antiga, XRave, Xcite, Excite, X Path, Expira and Intriga were registered. The automaker also has the names Kvest, Onega, Kam4atka and XRay X in stock.
AvtoVAZ can use all names at any time, since patents for them have an active status.
On December 7, it was reported that AvtoVAZ added the list of options that can be used to equip a commercial van Lada Largus Van. The model can now be ordered with a reversing camera, which increases the comfort and safety of the vehicle.
