Stellantis announced that as of this Thursday, Martín Zuppi, Director of Commercial Operations for the Fiat, Jeep and RAM brands for Argentina, also assumes the position of Director of Commercial Operations for the Citroën, Peugeot and DS brands in the country.
In this way, the executive becomes the most powerful man in the sector for commanding the most important automotive group in the country.
Although Toyota is the number one company in sales, production and exports, Stellantis – with all its brands – surpasses the Japanese firm in market share, according to data from the last year.
Added to this is that Zuppi is also, since last year, the president of the association that brings together local terminals (ADEFA).
The executive joined Fiat/FCA in 1996, in Fiat Argentina, and held various positions of great responsibility in the Commercial area in the country. In Italy, he worked in Commercial Planning for the main European markets in 2002.
With a lot of experience in sales and knowledge of the Argentine market, In 2018 he assumed the position of Head of Country in Argentina. Zuppi also has a bachelor’s degree in International Business and a master’s degree from IAE Business School.
Until now he had been sharing command of the group with Gabriel Cordo Mirandawho held the position of Director of Commercial Operations for Peugeot, Citroën and DS in Argentina and is leaving the position “to pursue new personal projects,” according to a company statement.
