The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ on December 15, after the first shift, suspended the work of the B0 assembly line, which produces Lada Largus and Xray models, as well as Renault Logan and Sandero.
According to the Atypical AvtoVAZ public, today, December 16, the B0 line will remain idle during both shifts. Two other conveyors, which produce Lada Granta and Lada Niva cars, continue to operate according to their usual schedules.
Assembly at AvtoVAZ has been working intermittently since June this year. This is due to problems with the supply of electronics components from Robert Bosch Samara, which, in turn, is experiencing difficulties in working with its suppliers.
AvtoVAZ produces Lada and Renault. The company’s production facilities are located in Togliatti and Izhevsk. The owner of 100% of the Russian automaker is the Dutch company Alliance Rostec Auto BV – Rostec JV (32%) and Renault Group (68%).
On December 2, it was reported that in November 2021, Russian sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles Lada amounted to 26,373 units, which is 30.7% less than in November 2020.
