The most popular driver’s activities in New Year’s traffic jams have been named

Avito Auto experts conducted a survey and found out how much time Russian motorists spend in holiday traffic jams and what they have to do during traffic jams.

According to a study received by Izvestia on December 20, the vast majority of the country’s residents in all regions are faced with pre-holiday traffic jams. At the same time, 21% of respondents spend in New Year’s Eve traffic jams on average from 10 to 30 minutes per trip, and the majority of respondents – even more: 20% of respondents – from 30 minutes to an hour, 12% – from an hour to 1.5 hours, 18% – from 1.5 to five hours per trip.

According to the Avito Auto survey, most often drivers while away their time in traffic jams, listening to radio, audiobooks or podcasts – 47% of respondents indicated that they spend their time behind the wheel this way.

20% of respondents noted that they spend time in traffic jams talking on the phone and on social networks. Making plans for the future is the third most popular option in the country to answer a question (12%).

10% of respondents in traffic jams put things in order in their e-mail and / or instant messengers, 9% of respondents sing and play games on their phones, 6% watch videos or movies, 5% work and the same number make online purchases. Another 3% of Russian drivers in traffic jams practice meditation, 2% learn foreign languages.

On August 13, it was reported that the experts of the service for buying and selling cars online “SberAuto” conducted a study and found out what kind of car signs Russian motorists believe in.

Thus, the overwhelming majority of respondents not only know about the existence of automobile signs (86%), but also believe in them – this is what 59% of respondents answered. The most popular superstition among motorists has become the relationship between washing a vehicle and the likelihood of rain. It is familiar to 58% of respondents, while 36% of them believe that the omen really works.
