- The restyling of the BMW 3 Series came with the novelty of being offered with a plug-in hybrid version. It is a combination of all the style, equipment and features of the German brand with the contribution of this new technology that, in its different forms, is becoming established in the global automotive market. It is imported from Mexico.

- This is the seventh generation of this BMW emblem. And despite being updated, in terms of exterior design the changes are subtle. Unlike what happens with other segments of the brand, where they focus on avant-garde lines, in the Series 3 they focus on preserving the classic spirit of the model. Their buyers do not look for stridency and their success in sales, with this strategy, justifies sobriety. The modifications are found in the grille, optics and bumpers, but they are just touch-ups to keep the design updated. Anyone who sees it recognizes that it is an unmistakable 3 Series, an elegant and sober sedan with a sporty touch.
- The interior design maintains the same concept of giving the buyer what they come looking for. The materials, finishes and details respond to a premium model. Although it does not come from Germany (those manufactured in that country are destined for the European market), its Mexican origin does not imply any lower demands. From there it is supplied to the United States, where not any vehicle enters if it does not meet a high level of quality. The dashboard and multimedia screen are integrated into a large digital panel that extends from one end of the vehicle to the middle of the cabin. There, on the one hand, the vehicle information is concentrated (it no longer has analog clocks) and, on the other, everything related to connectivity, air conditioning and navigation. Another change is the disappearance of the lever to activate the automatic transmission, which has now been replaced by an easy-to-use switch. The rest is what BMW is accustomed to its users: an elegant and comfortable environment, comfortable and supportive leather seats, a driving position that adapts to each driver thanks to the adjustments it offers and a very grippy steering wheel. The rear seats are spacious for the comfort of those traveling in the back.

- The propulsion system is a combination of a 184 HP turbo gasoline engine with a 108 HP electric engine and a torque of 300 Nm. It has rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
- It has a 12 kWh battery that allows a range of 50 kilometers. Charging time is 3 and a half hours. A charger is included with the purchase of the car. If you want another charger, the price is US$2,000 plus VAT, to which you have to add an extra cable worth US$600.
-When it comes to driving, the response is excellent. There is no difference with the 330 version that was offered. The advantage is that this version offers the possibility of driving it 100% electric. With a button on the console you can choose the type of motorization. Total electric, hybrid or combustion. In the first case, it must be taken into account that the autonomy is limited to 50 kilometers, but unlike other hybrids, it is not deactivated above a certain speed. It can travel at 130 km/h always on electric. In that case, the autonomy will be much less, but it is quite an experience to feel the power of the electric motor. The load is regenerated during braking or deceleration maneuvers. If you move in an urban environment, you can drive all the time in electric mode, but being a hybrid allows you to take long trips.
- As for performance, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds and recovers from 80 to 120 km/h in 4 seconds.
- The key point is consumption. The average in gasoline mode is just over 7 liters and in hybrid use it is reduced to less than 5 liters with a range of 600 kilometers, since the tank carries 40 liters. If you travel a distance of 100 kilometers (a round trip from some area of the GBA to the center) and start with a full electric charge (without recharging the electric battery), the consumption remains at 2 liters or less,
- The 330e equipment has a series of driver assistance ranging from autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping system to collision risk alert. Add the Head-Up Display that shows vehicle information on the windshield. It does not have a spare tire and is repaired using the RunFlat system.
- The price of the 330e Plug-In Hybrid is US$115,900 and offers a 3-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty.
