Experts of the analytical agency “Autostat” conducted a study on December 24 and found out which car in Russia is the absolute leader in terms of the cost of ownership.
So, in the first place in terms of maintenance cost is Lada Xray. One kilometer of this tall hatchback costs 7.5 rubles.
Lada Granta is in second place. The cost of one kilometer of a car’s mileage is estimated at 7.6 rubles. The third place is taken by Lada Vesta – 7.7 rubles.
Lada Largus (8.4 rubles / km) and Renault Duster (8.9 rubles / km) are also in the top 5 cars in terms of cost of ownership.
The research methodology takes into account the main costs incurred by the car owner: insurance, transport tax, winter tires, maintenance, fuel – depending on the conditions and region of operation. At the same time, the following are the key parameters for the calculation: the period of car ownership is three years, the total mileage is 45 thousand km, the age of the owner is 35 years, and the driving experience is 10 years.
On December 6, it was reported that 125,466 cars were sold in Russia in November, which is 20.4% less than last year. However, in annual terms, the result for January-November 2021 is still positive – 1,439,045 cars sold, which is 6.9% more than in the same period in 2020.
Meanwhile, according to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, December is a favorable month for car sales. The current trend is expected to continue next year and the numbers are expected to deteriorate further in the coming months.
