Russia is planning to change tickets for the theoretical part of the driving license exam. This was reported on January 10 at the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“At present, work continues on changing the approaches to the formation of examination tickets when conducting a theoretical exam for the right to drive vehicles,” the department told TASS.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the purpose of the changes is to form an understanding of the future driver of how to behave in various traffic situations, as well as reduce the accident rate due to the fault of drivers with less than two years of experience.
“One of the main goals of changing exam tickets is to shift the emphasis from memorizing the specific requirements of traffic rules to a conscious understanding of safe actions when driving a vehicle in various traffic situations, taking into account the psychological aspects of the behavior of road users,” added the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Earlier, on December 16, the expert center “Safe Movement” presented the first version of the program for training in driving schools for category “B” driving license.
There are eight exercises in the program: parking in a shopping center, moving along the overall corridor forward and backward with turns to the right and left, moving along the overall corridor forward and backward with shifting to the right and left.
In addition, the program will include the exercises “Dimension circle”, forward and reverse movement with turns to the right / left, leveling the car in a parking space, parking at a 90 degree angle, parallel parking, turning in a confined space.
The development of a new training program in driving schools for category “B” became known on November 22. It was noted that it was based on the modular principle of teaching, theoretical studies were divided into thematic blocks. After passing each module, an exam is expected to be passed.
