For Ramzan Kadyrov, his new Tesla Cybertruck is an “invulnerable and fast animal.” He thanks Elon Musk directly for this. The Tesla boss, meanwhile, reacted in his own way.
Ramzan Kadyrov, also known as “Putin’s bloodhound,” recently adorned himself with a Tesla Cybertruck in a video for his Telegram channel. And that’s not all: a large machine gun was apparently mounted on the loading area of the truck. There is a clear intention behind this.
In his post, the Chechen ruler is initially full of praise for the electric pickup truck. He writes: “We received a Tesla Cybertruck from the esteemed Elon Musk. I had the pleasure of testing the new technology and was able to convince myself that it is no coincidence that it is called ‘Cyberbeast’. A truly invulnerable and fast animal.”
Ramzan Kadyrov wants to use the Tesla Cybertruck in war
The dictatorial ruler, who was appointed Colonel General of the Russian Armed Forces by Vladimir Putin in October 2022, continues to praise: “The car is maneuverable, reaches excellent speed and overcomes obstacles. A very practical car. […] I am sure that this ‘beast’ will be of great use to our fighters.”
Kadyrov’s plan is apparently to use the modified and armed Cybertruck in the contested areas of Ukraine. He complements this announcement with a hymn of praise to Elon Musk. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Elon Musk! This is, of course, the strongest genius of our time and a specialist. A great man! […] Elon, thank you! Come to Grozny, I will receive you as my dearest guest! I don’t think our Russian Foreign Ministry would object to such a trip. And, of course, we are waiting for your new developments that will contribute to the completion of the special military operation.”
To date, it is unclear how Kadyrov got hold of the Cybertruck. The car is unlikely to be in the country at all due to sanctions against Russia. A direct gift from Tesla would be a clear violation of the law and would get the US company into big trouble.
Strange notice from Elon Musk
An official statement from Elon Musk or Tesla is still pending. The multi-billionaire has reacted in two ways so far: Just a few hours ago, he had the artificial intelligence “Grok” at , create an image with reference to the militarized vehicle. He fed the AI with the following command: “Make the cannon significantly bigger. Ramzan Kadyrov drives a Tesla Cybertruck that does wheelies around the Kremlin with a heavy machine gun and looks like Yosemite Sam.” He shared the result, which can only be seen by people with premium access to X, with his followers and commented: “Room for improvement lol”.
He previously responded to a post on X accusing him of giving a Cybertruck to Kadyrov. , addressed to the author of the post: “Are you really so retarded that you think I gave a Russian general a Cybertruck? That’s amazing.” The Tesla boss continued: “Another example of how much the established media lies.”
He did not publicly respond to the invitation, and there is still no explanation as to how one of his cars made it to Russia.
It cannot be ruled out that Elon Musk will have to explain himself to the US government. So far, Tesla has only sold the Cybertruck in the United States – so somehow the vehicle must have got from there to the Russian republic of Chechnya. So far, speculation has been about a detour via the Emirates.
Ramzan Kadyrov is internationally criticized for serious human rights violations and is sanctioned in numerous countries. He is accused of murdering political opponents and torture. He is considered one of the biggest supporters of Russian President Putin. The footage of the Cybertruck is framed in his Telegram channel by pictures of Ukrainian war dead. He also thanks his private army for their “excellent work”.
