Registration is aimed at owners of charging points electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV)both commercial and private.

According to the SE Resolution No. 817/2023 published in 2023 in the Official Gazette, they will be able to register their infrastructure through a web form. The regulations were published with two Annexes complementary, which are attached below.

Who is the registration of electric charging points or stations for?

The platform is intended for owners and users of charging stations Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV).

By entering personal data, users will be able to be part of the “EV and HEV Charging Point Map”.

The information entered will allow progress in the development of sustainable mobility in the Argentine Republic, through the promotion of the installation of charging points and the advertising of those that are operational through an interactive map.

What are the requirements to register an electric charging point or station?

The Charging Infrastructures must register with the National Registry of EV and HEV Charging Infrastructurefor which they must present to the Ticket Desk of the Secretary of Energy a note addressed to Undersecretariat of Electric Energy of the Ministry of Economyattaching the duly completed form, which is available for download on the aforementioned website.

To complete the form, you must first register a user with a password on the Secretariat’s website, which must be validated through a confirmation, after receiving an email.

What are Annexes I and II to register an electric charging point or station?

Likewise, they must accompany the supporting documentation detailed in the Procedure of the National Registry of EV and HEV Charging Infrastructure established in the Annex I.

Annex II includes an Affidavit to complete the Registration Form in the National Registry of EV and HEV Charging Infrastructure. The DDJJ has a General Part (A), one with Technical Data of the Charging Infrastructure (B) and a third with Technical Data for each Charging Point (C).

What is the Registry for and what will the Government do with the information provided in the DDJJ

The Resolution insists that all owners of EV and HEV charging infrastructure, and other actors defined by the Registry, are required to register in the Registry. Enforcement Authoritywhich in this case will be the Undersecretariat of Electric Energy, of the Secretariat of Energy, of the Ministry of Economy.

The data received will allow the Secretary of Energy have a quality tool to advance policies and promotion initiatives for the development of sustainable mobility in Argentina.

The advantage for those who need to charge these vehicles will be that the charging points designated as public, by regulation, will be geolocated for viewing on the GIS Viewer (Geographic Information System of the Ministry of Energy).

In this way, there will be an interactive record of the stations and charging points with public access in the national territory, and it will give greater visibility to the services provided.
