The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ does not plan to produce an updated Lada Priora model. Autonews.ru correspondent was informed about it by the official representative of the company Sergey Ilyinsky.
Earlier, a number of Telegram channels published a short video, which allegedly shows the concept of a future model. However, in the video, you can actually see only a redrawn Peugeot 508.
“A good attempt by one of the admirers of the brand, but definitely not ours,” Sergey Ilyinsky commented on the appearance of a video about the new Lada Priora.
The Lada Priora family was produced from 2007 to 2018 in sedan, hatchback, station wagon and coupe bodies. 2011 was a record year for sales. Then 138 thousand cars were sold. In just 11 years, more than 860 thousand of these machines were produced.
On September 21, it was reported that the new generation Lada Niva SUV, whose production will begin in 2024, will cost in Europe from €12,000 to €16,000, or 1–1.4 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
