Opel has patented in Russia the appearance of the crossover Mokka

The German company Opel has patented in Russia the appearance of the new generation Opel Mokka crossover. Patent images of the car appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (FIPS).

However, the appearance of the image of the new Opel Mokka in the FIPS database does not guarantee the appearance of the model in Russia. With this title of protection, the manufacturer protects the design of his car.

The new Opel Mokka crossover is built on the basis of the CMP (Common Modular Platform) universal platform, which offers maximum flexibility in the choice of powertrains.

The length of the model is 4150 mm, which is 125 mm longer than the previous generation machine. Despite the fact that the crossover has increased in size, the volume of the luggage compartment has remained almost the same – 350 liters, which is only 6 liters less than before.

The base in Europe is a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 100 hp, which works exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. A more powerful engine of the same size is also available, delivering 130 hp. Transmissions – six-speed manual or automatic.

In addition, the model is available with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine with 110 hp.

On November 30, it was reported that Opel introduced an updated corporate logo. The firm decided to ditch the 3D logo. Also, the designers changed the shape of the logo lightning, and made its rim thinner. The word Opel is written in a new typeface called Opel Next.
