AvtoVAZ has reduced the number of trim options Lada Vesta

The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has reduced the number of trim options for the Lada Vesta. This is reported by the portal “Lada.Online” with reference to a representative of one of the dealerships. According to him, this is due to the cessation of production of seat upholstery material with elements made of Paladia artificial leather.

“In case of damage to the upholstery that has been discontinued, the owners will be asked to replace it with an alternative one, moreover, as a set, since the color and texture solution of the new upholstery is different,” the source explained.

AvtoVAZ sold 2% more cars last year – 351,000 Lada cars. The company’s share in sales of passenger cars in Russia amounted to 22%, having decreased for the first time since 2014.

Export sales of Lada cars from AvtoVAZ increased by 9.4% in 2021, to 34.8 thousand units. The main export markets for the automaker are Belarus (Lada has a 25% market share), Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

On September 21, it was reported that the new generation Lada Niva SUV, whose production will begin in 2024, will cost between €12,000 and €16,000 in Europe.
