Due to the drought that affected the countryside and the entire related industry, 2023 was reached with a very low floor, where turnover fell 19.5% year-on-year in real terms and was 5.2% below the average for the last five years.
With the return of an acceptable to good campaign, tractors presented the highest level of billing of the quarter, with 265,491.3 million pesos, 247.3% more than the same quarter of the previous year.
The turnover of planters, implements and harvesters increased 505.6%, 312% and 287.9%, respectively.
In the third quarter of 2024, the total number of domestic and imported units of planters sold registered the largest increase compared to the same quarter of the previous year, with 68.8%; combines grew 23.5%; and implements, 10.3%; while tractors show a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%.
Sales in national production units of implements registered an increase of 9% in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of the previous year; and tractors presented a year-on-year drop of 13.3%.
Regarding the participation of units of national origin in total sales in units, in the third quarter of 2024, implements of national production presented a participation of 88.0%; harvesters, 85.9%; and tractors, 84.4%.
