The Italian company Lamborghini intends to switch to the production of hybrid supercars within the next two to three years. In addition, before the end of this decade, the company will release a completely new model of electric vehicles. This was reported by Prime on January 25, citing the head of the company, Stefan Winkelmann.
The top manager noted that the transition to new technologies is necessary both in order to keep up with increasingly stringent legislation, and to meet customer needs.
As for the electric car, according to Winkelmann, it will be a sports utility vehicle with a coupe-like two-door body. The car will be designed for four people.
At the same time, the car will have high ground clearance, but at the same time, moderate dimensions to become a car for every day.
On October 1, it was reported that Lamborghini had unveiled the Countach LP 500 Reconstruction sports car. The model is a recreated version of one of the prototypes of the classic Countach model.
