Russian electric vehicles KamAZ will be produced at a plant in Hungary. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Cooperation will be carried out in two stages, the first of which will be devoted to joint research and development. It will be followed by the launch of production facilities,” the ministry said.
Kama is a project of a Russian electric car on a modular platform, created by the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and KamAZ.
The Kama electric car is a three-door, four-seater compact smart crossover designed in accordance with modern trends in the mobility and transport market.
The length of the electric car is 3.4 m, width – 1.7 m, ground clearance – 160 mm. The car received a fully LED front and rear optics and a panoramic roof. Fenders, sills and bumper skirts are made as separate elements and are easily replaceable, which ensures the convenience of using the car for the needs of car sharing companies.
In the basic configuration, an electric motor with a capacity of 109 hp is installed. and a 33 kWh battery. The driving range of the car is 250 km. The speed of a full battery charge in normal mode is six hours, in accelerated mode – 20 minutes. Acceleration to 100 km / h – in 6.7 seconds.
On October 15, it became known that in Russia by the middle of 2021 there were 12,290 passenger electric vehicles. Most of all in Russia there are Nissan Leaf hatchbacks – 9273 units, which is 75.5% of the total number of electric cars in the country.
